Ice Storm 07

Here where I live in Springfield, Mo., we had a huge ice storm on January 12th. For some reason, very few people even heard about it. I'm surprised. When other areas of the world suffer from natural disasters of this magnitude, it makes headlines for days, and tons of aid pours into the area. We've gotten dick so far.

My friends and family - not to mention myself - went without power for days, almost two weeks in some cases. We had subzero temperatures during that time. People died.

And the destruction, . . . .







It's going to take our city months to get everything cleaned up again.

And yet, it seems as if no one else in the world even cares about it.
